Our Process
At Ella Maru Studio, we’ve refined our process to ensure that every project is delivered with the highest level of scientific accuracy and artistic quality. Here’s how we work:
- Initial Consultation: Share your project goals and provide a rough draft or sketch. Your sketch can be hand-drawn or created using PowerPoint. If your idea is clear, we’ll start right away. If not, we can discuss it over Zoom, or you can send your manuscript, and we’ll propose several concepts.
- Concept Development: Our scientists and artists collaborate to create a draft that aligns with your vision.
- Review and Feedback: You’ll receive up to four rounds of revisions, ensuring the final product meets your expectations. We also handle any reviewer or editor changes at no extra cost.
- Finalization: After incorporating your feedback, we finalize the design and prepare it for delivery in your preferred format, including high-resolution TIFF, PNG, JPEG, or any other format you require.

Absolutely! Unlike other studios that offer different types of licenses at varying costs, at Ella Maru Studio, our fee includes full copyright transfer to you. Once we design an image for you, it’s yours to use as you see fit. We only use completed images in our portfolio, and there are no additional costs for you to own and use your image wherever you need.
Yes, minor adjustments can be made even after the final delivery. For more significant changes or additional versions, we can discuss your needs on a case-by-case basis. We keep all raw files for 10 years, so we can easily make modifications or create new versions of your images in the future if necessary.
If you need to cancel a project, we charge a 25% cancellation fee after the first draft, a 50% fee after the second draft, and the full price if the project is canceled after the third revision. These fees cover the time and resources already invested in your project.
